The Refuge
A home for hearts willing to love the world that breaks and blesses us daily.
A seasonal practice + ritual community.
There comes a point in every person’s life when the old ways of holding ourselves begin to crack. When the habits that once kept us safe no longer fit. When the body whispers for deeper ground, and the heart asks for companions who can hold the honest, trembling truth of who we are becoming.
There comes a point - and as humans we are at this place - where the individual identity must give way to a greater belonging. To the remembrance of interconnection and the reality that we are always
in-this-together.
The Refuge was born from this awareness.
This is a seasonal practice community for those who want to live with their hearts turned toward life — not because it’s easy, but because it’s holy. Because there is no better way to spend a human lifetime than by compassionately, wisely, and humbly loving each other.
The Refuge is a space where we practice being with our emotions in skillful ways.
We turn towards spiritual perspective and devote our time
to connection with the sacred.
We embrace our aging human body and all of its knowing.
The Refuge is a reminder that our heartbreak, our longing, our questions, our shadows, and our hope all belong.
That nothing in you is too much.
That nothing in you is unwelcome.
That healing is not a solitary act.
We come here to remember
that our lives can be a refuge for this beautiful world that we belong to.
THE FOUR SEASONS OF THE REFUGE
Each season of The Refuge we gather for eight weeks at a time to explore the inner territory: the grief that asks to be met, the tenderness that wants to be honored, the joy that comes when we inhabit our bodies without apology. We practice the ancient ways — breath, meditation, movement, ritual, storytelling — not as abstractions but as living companions that steady us through what it means to be human.
Each season a doorway into a different dimension of the nervous system.
Each a training ground for becoming present, honest, and anchored in the heart.
Join for the entire year or just one season.

Spring is the season of emergence.
Of trembling honesty.
Of the first green shoots that push through the soil because they cannot help but live.
Of the heart remembering its courage, aliveness, and in-it-togetherness.
Together, we open gently — and we learn how to hold one another through the quivering beauty of that opening.
In this cohort, we practice the brave art of emotional expression — not the kind that spills everywhere, but the kind that tells the truth without abandoning the body.
We work with relational hygiene, communication as devotion, and the sacred task of letting ourselves be seen without hiding in the shadows of performance.

SPRING 2026
begins Friday March 20
we meet every Friday at 11am pst
for 8 weeks.
SUMMER 2026
— Living in Full Flame
Begins Friday June 5th
at 11ampst
We meet every Friday
for 8-weeks.
Summer is when we step into the sunlit center of our lives.
The fire, the passion, the solar plexus.
It is the season of embodied power — not dominance, not force, but the kind of power that comes from living aligned with our deepest integrity.
Here we claim our values:
What do I care about?
What do I stand for?
What lives at my center?
Here we explore capacity:
How much vitality can I hold?
How much joy?
How much clarity?
How much right action without losing the soft animal of my body?
We build the musculature of boundaries that support connection rather than harden.
We explore the somatic signatures of yes, no, and not yet.
We practice carrying our fire with grace.
Summer teaches us that we are allowed to shine.
And that our light is not a threat — it’s a blessing.
Enrollment for the summer-only cohort opens in April 2026.
FALL 2026
— Harvest & Integration
Begins in September 11th
at 11ampst
We meet every Friday
for 8-weeks.
Fall is the season of gathering.
Of truth-telling.
Of bowing to what the year has shown you — both the beauty and the ache.
In these weeks, we practice closing loops with integrity, digesting experience into wisdom, and tending the parts of us that still feel unfinished.
We work with repair — relational, emotional, spiritual.
We honor what’s ready to be released and what wants to be carried forward.
Fall is where the threads come together.
Where understanding ripens.
Where the heart becomes both softer and stronger through the humility of reflection.
This is the season of integration — not tying things in neat bows, but honoring the real shape of what is.
Enrollment for Fall 2026 only cohort begins in July
Winter invites us into the holy hearth of our own being.
It’s the season where the world grows quiet enough for us to hear the truth whisper inside the bones.
In these eight weeks, we turn toward the nervous system with tenderness.
We explore the kind of stillness that doesn’t collapse us, but roots us.
Through breath, grounding, and gentle somatic work, we remember how to become a steady place for ourselves — especially when life feels like it’s shaking us loose.
This is not the stillness of avoidance.
This is the stillness of meeting.
Where the inner fire is tended softly, faithfully, without rush.
Winter teaches us how to sit with ourselves the way a loving mother sits beside a child who is learning how to breathe again.
Enrollment for Winter 2026 only cohort opens in October 2026.

Begins Dec 4

Why Now, Why The Refuge?
Because the world is aching.
Because many of us feel stretched thin.
Because we are living through a collective heartbreak —
and heartbreak asks something of us.
It asks us to become more generous, more courageous, more honest, more connected.
It asks us to remember that we do not heal by isolating ourselves on islands of grief or achievement.
We heal by leaning in, by practicing, by circling together around the shared fire of our humanity.
The Refuge is not a place to escape life.
It is a place to meet life — fully, bravely, and with a heart that remembers its own vastness.
May this be a home for that remembering.
May we be a refuge for one another.
What You Receive
The Refuge is not a course. It is a living, breathing, transformational container — a sacred training ground for the heart, body, and spirit.
Inside each season, you receive guidance, support, and companionship designed to meet you where you are and carry you into deeper layers of truth, agency, and embodiment.
Here’s what’s included:
-
These are our shared hearth — where teachings, movement, meditation, emotional hygiene, and somatic practices come alive in real time.
Together we explore the inner terrain: the heartbreak, the courage, the clarity, the humanness that urges us toward evolution. -
Every season begins with intention and ends with integration.
We honor the threshold crossings — who you were when you arrived, and who you have become through the journey.
These circles set the tone and anchor the transformation. -
A dedicated 60 minute private session for deeper attunement, clarity, and embodiment.
This is where your personal story, your edges, your longings, and your becoming get individualized support.
These sessions are often described as “turning points” — where something lands, shifts, or releases in a way the body remembers. -
Weekly practices — movement, meditation, breathwork, and guided somatic journeys — are recorded and yours for the duration of your time inside The Refuge.
This means you can return again and again to the teachings that meet you most intimately. -
For those who commit to the full year journey, you receive a curated welcome gift — a tactile reminder of the refuge you are stepping into, a companion for your practice, and a symbol of your devotion to this path.
-
Full-year members receive priority invitation to join the in-person Refuge retreat — a pilgrimage into deeper practice, community, embodiment, and belonging.
This is where the threads of the year weave themselves into something in-person, unforgettable and holy.
What makes The Refuge stand out?
Live practice.
Emergent learning
Consistent rhythm.
Community that holds you.
A teacher who knows how to walk with you through the deep places.
A seasonal arc that aligns with the body’s natural wisdom.
1:1 support that meets the truth of your moment.
A full-year field that reshapes the way your nervous system, relationships, and heart experience life.
This is not a passive program.
It is a living altar.
A place where the old layers shed, where resilience grows, where the heart stretches wider than it ever thought possible, where agency and tenderness become allies.
This is work that changes you — not by force, but by devotion.
This is a training ground for the human heart.
A remembering of who you are.
And a reclamation of what becomes possible when we walk the path together.
